Four Ingredients, One Dish

Jan 14, 2013 at 6:21am by Dean McDermott

A skill I really admire about my favorite chefs, and all great cooks, is the ability to take a few ingredients and turn them into delicious masterpieces. While I might not be in the ranks of Jamie Oliver or my current Food Network mentor, Guy Fieri, I still like to flex some culinary muscle and whip up my own tasty little dishes.

I can't let Rachael vs Guy be the only food challenge in my life right now, so I'm opening it up to all of you. Are there ingredients you think could stump me? Can an amazing meal be made from just a few items? Yes, and I plan on showing you how!

Add four ingredients you would like to see me make a dish out in the comments below and I may turn them into a delectable, easy-to-make dessert, appetizer or main dish.

Check back this Friday to see whose ingredients I selected and what meal I cooked up! Let the games begin.

- Dean
