My Days With Finn

It’s amazing how time flies. Our little man is 1 month old. It seemed like it was only yesterday that he was still in Tori’s belly and we’d watch him kick and punch and move around.

Now, I can hold him and watch him kick and punch in my arms as he learns how to control his little limbs. We now make eye contact and he looks up at me with his beautiful eyes, and coos and smiles at me with love and adoration, then rips a big fart, burps, spits up on me, then falls asleep. It’s magical and I laugh my ass off. I cherish those moments as much as I cherish first words and first steps. Maybe it’s a guy thing.

My point is, time goes by so quickly and they grow so fast. So spend as much time as you can with your little burping, giggling, farting munchkins, because before you know it, they’ll be taking care of your burping, giggling, farting butt.

Love em, squeeze em, kiss em and hug em.

Love you little man.

Dad oxoxoxo

What were some of your favorite moments with your newborn?

Dear Dean…Congratulations on the birth of your son Finn! I think back to the time when my 2 boys were born and can’t believe how quickly they grow up! My oldest is 13 and already 6ft tall and I am blown away by just how quickly the time has passed. Each little one is so different and each has such a unique personality; and so fun to watch and observe as they learn about life and all it’s wonders.
As you say one day they will be taking care of us…but enjoy all the precious moments with them while you can!!
I wish the world was filled with dads like you Dean =)

Congrats on the new baby. You are such a wonderful Dad! I love hearing all your stories. I think the most precious thing in the world is holding a sleeping newborn. There is nothing else that can make you feel stress free.. My boys are 29 and 22. I miss those early years. You are so right. Just cherish each and every moment..

Awww so cute and oh so true! I used to just love to watch my daughter sleep and then wake up and make all sorts of funny faces in those first few months when they are getting acclimated to the outside world :-) He’s adorable and after all you guys went through I’m sure it makes it all the more sweet. That 2nd pic looks a lot like Liam!! Too adorable!!!

Best memories ever when both my sons were little was when they sat up for the first time. You are right Dean, they grow up so fast.My sons are now 18 and 24..

I cherish every moment with my children. I am especially enjoying my 2 month old daughter’s coos and smiles. I did the same thing for my 4 year old son when he was an infant. They do grow fast right before your eyes. At the end of this month, I have to enroll my son in Kindergarten and watch him graduate in June from Pre-School. It’s almost too much :)
